We believe our children are our future. We have therefore decided to support charity organisations that offer children a better future. We have decided against occasional support for multiple charities and therefore sponsor the Watoto Foundation in Tanzania on a regular basis. In addition to sustainable entrepreneurship, Van Eck uses sponsoring to further substantiate its involvement in society.

 

The Watoto Foundation is a private foundation with the objective to offer street children a better future. The target group includes all street children with a wide range of different backgrounds, from all provinces in Tanzania. The children are taught multiple trades which they can use in later life to create a better future for themselves. An important goal is to reunite the street children with their families, one way or the other.
